Month review

Oh where oh where is the time going??? It's almost the end of summer already! I have to say we have given summer a run for it's money though! The boys are growing so fast and we are just trying to keep up with them. Sawyer will be starting preschool (it is called playschool here) in September and we have him signed up for gymnastics too! Anyway here is the month in pictures!

My baby boy is getting so BIG!! He is seriously like a little tank. He got into the sprinklers at the park so he had to come home with no shirt on, it was no surprise he fell asleep in the stroller! He never falls asleep in the stroller unless he is absolutely exhausted. Of course his right shoe isn't on :)
We went camping for the first time with both the kids. We only went for one night but had enough stuff to stay for a couple of weeks! Garrett thought the fire was pretty cool, he was such a big boy helper.
Garrett also loved stealing Sawyer's camp chair. We learned our lessons on this trip, we need to bring toys and TWO camp chairs :)
We also learned that camping in our tent is pretty darn cold. It was 32 with a good frost. It was cold, I like the cold but for some reason this seemed really cold.
The next weekend we had a big day planned, we were going to a neighboring city to a parade and spend the day. I had been looking forward to it all summer long, but Garrett had other plans. The kid screamed (not cried but screamed) for the first 30 miles in the car so we turned around to come home and he screamed the whole 30 miles back. When we got home we loaded into the stroller and headed downtown to our local summer sizzler celebration. Turned out to be a great time and Sawyer had lots of fun. Garrett even had fun, I think he was just happy to not be in the car? Of all the things Sawyer could have painted on his face, he wanted a cat. Not my first choice, but he did look pretty cute.
After playing hard on Saturday at the Summer Sizzler, me and the boys hopped in the car and went to visit my sister for a week. It was so much fun, we stayed super busy. I thought we were in for a repeat of last time we were there and there was so much drama. This was the first half hour, notice the sheepish grin Sawyer has?
It's because he just squirted Mary with the hose. Oh my what a start. Lucky for us they did a little better for the rest of the week :)
The Discovery Center in Boise was way cool. I would love to go back there without the kids :) Sawyer loved the giant bubble blower and Garrett liked the air hose that held the ball in the air.
Garrett also liked the play grocery store. He was putting things in his cart and throwing the vegetables back out. Too cute.
There is a pond near Aimee's that has a gazzilion frogs, it's almost creepy. Sawyer was in frog heaven. The little buggers were surprisingly hard to catch but Uncle Spencer was pretty good at it.
Garrett enjoyed hanging out in the stroller. The kid loves the water and getting in the water so it's best to just keep him strapped in :)
Sawyer got a frog out of the bucket and let Mary try to touch it.
And he got one out for Garrett too. Everyone is so serious in this picture :)
I love this video, Sawyer looks so focused. I especially love Spencer at the end.

We went to the beach one day too, Garrett was in hog heaven. He didn't care for the waves when the boats came by but he loved splashing his toes in the water.
And we went fishing! We stayed super busy!! Sawyer caught some bluegill, he said their backs were pokey (I'll take his word on that one). Again Garrett was strapped in :)
This past weekend we had my mom come up for a day to hang out. We drove up to a lake to take Sawyer fishing and have a picnic. Garrett was so happy that we didn't bring the stroller :) He was the first one to the water, even beat Molly there.
Sawyer caught a fish and Molly wanted to play with it :) This is Kyle trying to stop Molly from eating the fish. This would have been the best part except that when Kyle let the fish go back in the water rather than swimming out it went straight for my mom's feet and she screamed and jumped into the air. She scared all of us :)
The mighty fisherman.
We took a family picture here last year so I thought we should repeat in the same place.
This is how we feel a lot of the time lately.
Garrett has mastered the little slide at the park. He loves going up and down and up and down.
My little football player! Football practice is back in our backyard and now Sawyer is obsessed with football once again.
I gave Garrett some cherries the other day and created a monster. He loves cherries.
This past weekend we took the boys and Molly up in the hills for a picnic. Molly loves swimming here, the water is so clear and cold. We found a great spot for the boys to throw rocks.
It's fun to watch Molly swim when the water is so clear.
Molly gave up on the ball once the boys sat down to throw her rocks. She would catch rocks all day if she could.
I love this kids smile.
Here's a little clip of the boys and Molly!

We are really looking forward to a crazy fall!!
