On the move!

Wow has it been a busy month!! We have been traveling a lot lately. We had a last minute decision to go to Iowa for the 4th of July. The trip was so much fun, we lucked out and all of Kyle's brothers were able to come visit too! The drive was a long one but for some strange reason the boys did GREAT. Coming home we made it 19hrs in one day, I think I was worse than the boys at the end of that day:) We got home from Iowa and headed to Island Park near West Yellowstone to visit my family for a weekend. It's been so great to spend so much time with our families the last few weeks! Here are the pictures!

Garrett has the loudest scream ever, doesn't matter if he is happy or mad it is still really loud. The scream seems to come and go every few weeks. Just when you think he might be growing out of it he starts back up. Lucky for us he decided that he felt like screaming during the Iowa trip. He kept us awake for sure!
Sawyer on the other hand slept most the trip, he is such a great traveler.
The boys were so happy to get out of the truck! The first night in Iowa we had bbq and yummy cookies. Here are the cousins enjoying their cookies.
Grandpa T. even took us for a hay wagon ride. Sawyer was so excited! I was a little nervous, being a city kid my hay riding experience is limited :) Turned out to be pretty fun.
The best part of Iowa is the fireflies!!!!! I had been telling Sawyer about them the whole way out and he just didn't understand. The first night when it finally got dark and they started lighting up everywhere the kid (and myself) went crazy trying to catch them. I have a great video of him running around crazy trying to figure out which one to catch next. I wish we had fireflies in Montana, they are so magical! I also wish I new how to take pictures in dim light, sorry this is the only firefly picture.
On the 4th of July we went to a great parade! Sawyer is finally getting old enough to wave for his own candy, makes me not look so crazy.
Sawyer and the cousins could not have played better together. I think they were so exhausted from playing outside they didn't have the energy to fight over toys :)
The whole Tackett clan!
Grandpa T. made homemade ice cream and the boys loved it.
I love this picture even though it's not that great quality. Sawyer had a blast catching toads around the house. This was the first one and they put it in a jar, YUCK. This is Sawyer telling Grandpa T. something serious about his toad.
Poor toad in a jar. Sawyer was shaking the jar like crazy, we eventually let the poor guy go.
After a big 4th of July day we went to the zoo in Omaha. Sawyer's favorite part was the penguins. I think he is still little enough that the big animals are a little scary.
How cool is it to sit on a rhino?
Or an elephant?
Poor Garrett was just along for the ride. He had a fever and just wasn't feeling that great. He was such a trooper though.
The rest of the trip was spent playing with cousins and enjoying time with Kyle's family. We had lunch with the Great Grandparents on different days and just "relaxed". Sawyer talked Great Grandma Sligar into catching toads with him :)
Look how happy he is, than goodness we don't have these nasty things around here!
We made it home on a Sunday and packed back up on Thursday to head to Island Park for my family's annual vacation. The day we were leaving I was busy packing and trying to keep the kids clean, we were a little low on clothes while I was still catching up from our trip. This is where I found Sawyer right before we were suppose to go! He was whittling away at a piece of chalk with a screwdriver.
But luckily we where heading to hills and a little chalk is ok. The kids played in the dirt and rocks the whole weekend!
We had a lot of fun in Island Park. Sawyer and Cousin Mary are old enough to play together and get in trouble together. We took them up to West Yellowstone to the bear discovery place and on the way stopped to go some geocaching. Pretty sure the grown ups enjoy it more than the kids :) This is Uncle Spencer finding the first one.
Mary and Sawyer trying to howl a the wolves. There were "please be quiet" signs all over the place. They even got asked to stop howling at the animals!
Garrett enjoyed the kids play area. He figured the slide out and this thing was small enough he could walk around and do it himself.
Island Park is beautiful!
The mighty worm holder :)
Garrett really enjoyed the water too! It was freezing cold but he didn't seem to mind.

My mom and my uncles.
The whole clan! Can't believe we are all looking at the camera!
Sawyer was so happy to get home and in his pool.
The good news is we are no where near a slowing down point, I love summer!
