Summer is here!!

We are so happy that summer has finally arrived! It's so nice to be outside again. We have been pretty busy in the last month and there are no signs of slowing down any where near. At the beginning of June we went to Grandma O's for a yard sale and got to hang out with cousin Mary. Sawyer and Mary love being together, they are finally old enough to play together and get in trouble together. For some reason I don't have any pictures from the weekend except one of Sawyer and Mary sitting in front of my mom's washing machine. I have that one because I thought the silence was so great I needed a picture of it :) And now for the picture recap of our month!

After we got home from Grandma O's we had swim lessons and camp at the Y. Sawyer loved camp and hated swim lessons (at first). The camp was only an hour a day for a week and he learned how to play duck duck goose! The swim lessons started out terrible because Sawyer was being a turkey and didn't like the new teachers. After a few days he got over it and actually had fun. This picture is from the last day of lessons, they let the little kids do the rope swing in to the big pool. I couldn't not believe that Sawyer was actually going to do it, not to be mean but the kid is a chicken when it comes to doing new/scary things. He walked right up and flew into the pool, 4 TIMES!!
A couple of weeks ago they had a kids fishing derby at the fishing pond. It was great fun! There were over 100 kids. You should have seen the mess of fishing lines and there was even a kid that took a hook to the ear. Sawyer only caught a little tiny fish but he was happy to be there and they had food (food is the way to my all my boys' hearts). Sawyer lost interest in fishing and spent most the morning playing in the worms, there is a great picture in our local paper of him playing with the worms!
Garrett had a big birthday!! I can't believe my baby is 1. Not to mention that he started walking on his birthday, it was almost too much change for me in one day! We had a little party at a local park with friends and my family came up. Garrett didn't even hesitate on the cake, he at the whole piece no problem. Pretty sure he could head the whole cake, the kid has an amazing appetite.
Somehow Garrett got a hold of a container of bubbles and thought they tasted great, ughhh. I thought maybe he might fart bubbles later? Forgot to mention that Garrett's B-day was also Father's Day! June is so busy!
Kyle and I had our 5 year anniversary last week. I didn't get any pictures of us from out big date but I thought this picture of the boys at the park the same day was pretty cute. They thought they were so funny swinging together.
And now we don't have to go the park to enjoy the swings!!!! Kyle built the boys (and me) a playset in the backyard. It's amazing. My project is the sandbox underneath, maybe by the end of summer it will get done? The slide is a little fast but Sawyer will get use to it after a few times down.
We finally got out of town and in to the mountains, seems like it's been a long time. It was warm in town when we left and then only 48 when we got the trail. brrr. Luckily I had jackets for the boys in the car!
Sawyer was driving Molly crazy carrying a stick the whole way!
I should have looked it up but I have this same picture of Kyle and Sawyer at about the same age. Garrett was a good sport riding in the backpack for the hike. Sawyer wished he as in the backpack, it was really wet and muddy.
Molly had the best time ever! She was having so much fun running up and down the muddy trail, it's been three days and she is still recovering. Poor Molly is 7 and is starting to show some signs that she is getting old.
Here is Garrett in the parking lot, he kept crawling (he walks till he falls then takes off crawling) back to the trail. I think he wanted to be able to walk down it himself.
Our month of July is looking even more busy that June! We are looking forward to seeing lots of our families and soaking up the sun!
