In May Kyle was traveling a lot. He got to go to Washington D.C. for work and a bunch of other places. So it was a lot of time home with the boys. While he was gone to D.C. my mom come up and we destroyed the house! Literally.
First we went and watched Sawyer's baseball game. Nothing like cuddling with grandma and watching a game!
Sawyer was so funny to watch play baseball. He just struggles. Some games he can hit every pitch and some games he can't hit a thing. He really doesn't care for baseball but his friends play so he tries.
And here is what my mom and I did while the boys were in school! We tore the kitchen apart!! We painted all the kitchen cabinets and the ceiling. It was a lot of hard work.
But it looks so much better!! Now if we could only get new counter tops....
This picture shows the color of the bottom cabinets the best, it seems like a crazy color but I really love it. It's growing on Kyle, I think ;)
Garrett started T-Ball and he loved it! He felt pretty cool standing out there on base.
It's always fun to have a good coach who high fives you when you go across home plate! Garrett was running so fast he about took his arm off.
This was my soccer team this year. They were so much fun. This was Garrett's first year at soccer too! He was a rock star. He is seriously just full steam ahead in everything he does.
Poor Haddie puts up with so much.
I didn't get to watch much of Sawyer playing soccer since their games were almost always at the same time. The little I did catch I was so impressed. He has improved so much! He loves soccer and runs so much during the games. He has kicked the ball into a couple of kids faces and he just feels awful about it.
For Mother's Day we went for a little hike. I love that Sawyer wants to take books in the car to read on the way. He has the best teacher this year that has really gotten him to love to read. He was one of a few kids in his class to make it to 500 books for the year so she took them out for lunch and ice cream, after she stayed and watched two soccer games in the cold. Did I mention she is the best??
Our hike was beautiful. I had never been in the Humbug Spires area before and I'm not sure why?? Love following these three boys.
An ok selfie?
We tried to use a timer on my cell phone to take a family picture, it didn't turn out as well as the camera time. Oh well lesson learned.
Sawyer and I only do goofy selfies.
These boys didn't want to hike, they wanted to climb rocks and walk across fallen trees.
An the big thing that happen this month was Kyle taking himself out of the gene pool. He spent a good deal of time with these two frozen bags. Had some pretty serious complications that knocked him out for a WHILE. Poor guy.
I love that even at 7 he still falls asleep with his blankie and Burrito (stuffed Burro).
While Kyle was out of commission I tried to get these boys out of the house as much as possible. The weather has been so beautiful.
We stayed out past bedtime and skipped rocks across the pond. Such a great night.
Rain, rain, and more rain. Makes for some good puddle jumping.
Sawyer tried to take a picture of me jumping....
And this is what happens to the river when it rains a bunch. The left is clean water the right is a creek that comes in and has a crazy amount of sediment. Yes this is one of my projects for work.
Sawyer had an end of the year music program. He was pretty into it this year!
Sawyer had his end of the year fun games and track meet. All the kids were having so much fun!
We had to delay the track meet because of a big rain storm and I missed half of it because Garrett was home sick. But I did catch a couple of races. Sawyer did so great, he sure does love racing! We had our schools out BBQ and campfire with our friends too.
We added three more chickens to our flock. There are now 5 birds! We started with 4, the "hawk" ate one and was a trouble maker. So it really isn't a big deal to have 5 except that I would have never thought I would even own 1. These ones seem a bit on the crazy side...
My two older ladies are not so sure about the new gals.
I love that Garrett still likes just playing with himself sometimes.
The boys went camping by themselves one night. They had a ton of fun and I got a night alone!
The boys are doing summer camp at the Y again. It's Garrett's first year and he is pretty excited. I'm excited that they can both ride bikes. I love riding behind them on the way to camp.
Finally warm enough for sprinklers!
And this is what happens when you play hard at summer camp! Sawyer broke his arm. The whole time in the ER I kept texting Kyle saying I don't think it's broke. Then when the x-ray tech went to twist it to get the x-ray Sawyer about flew off the table. That's when I knew it was broke. The tech said well you aren't going out of here without plaster today.... He did great for about the first hour and then it was a long couple of days. I hurt pretty bad. Can't believe Sawyer broke a bone before Garrett.
I talked these lovely gals into signing up for a half marathon with me. Only I hurt my foot and couldn't run the race, grrrrr. So I went along for support.
It was hard to just watch everyone but I was happy to cheer for my friends. I just don't think I'm cut out to be a runner.
This kid is turning 5 soon!
My sister and parents came up to say hi, watch Garrett play T-ball and celebrate his birthday. He was so happy to have everyone here!
Garrett even got a real party this year! It's so hard to plan a party when he has a summer birthday.
He had a few friends over and they played with water balloons, little boys are so cute!
At least he still has his super hero undies! I love those little legs so much.
Poor Sawyer is so hot in his cast. As if he didn't sweat enough already so gross. He has been hanging out by the air conditioner.
Haddie kind of likes it there too!
I have a couple of craft shows coming up and Kyle must have sensed my panic. He is so awesome for helping me!
This dog is so much trouble sometimes. She loves playing with the boys, you can almost see her smile when she does.
And then she is good sometimes and sleeps all tucked in...
Late night sewing! It's crunch time.
We borrowed a friends boat for the evening and went for a float down the Beaverhead. Could not have asked for a prettier night.
Lots of fighting about who got to sit in the front of the boat. Once we settled that we did pretty good. Wish we could of spent longer!
I had little fish driving me nuts. And I was driving Kyle nuts because while I was fishing he was sitting in the boat with the boys getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.
